1. INSPECTION STANDARD

Our inspections abide by the Single Sampling Plans for Normal Inspection (SSPNI).

2. TOOLS

2.1 JM-IV model machine for testing abrasion resistance

2.2 Machine for testing thickness swelling

2.3 Vernier caliper

2.4 Feeler gauges

2.5 Measuring tape

2.6 Moisture meter

2.7 Light refractor

2.8 Micrometer

2.9 Square

2.10 Pen, inspection forms, digital camera, video camera

3. SAMPLING

We sample in accordance with Level II of SSPNI

4. INSPECTION PROCEDURE

4.1 We first check product quantity: number of m2 per carton, number of cartons per pallet and number of pallets per container.

4.2 We then check that packaging is appropriate: wrapping, boxing, palleting, foiling, bagging, marking, labeling and printing.

4.3 We determine the sample size in accordance with Level II of SSPNI.

4.4 We randomly select cartons for inspection. We mark selected cartons with Global Wood Products' s chop for easy identification and to ensure cartons inspected are in fact those selected.

4.5 We open every selected carton and individually inspect every single plank.

4.6 Plank inspection is broken down in:

4.6.1 Measurement

Length

Width

Thickness

Geometry

4.6.2 Moisture content

4.6.3 Uniform shade

4.6.4 Plank joining

4.6.5 Difference in height

4.6.6 Length Warp

4.6.7 Brightness

4.6.8 Abrasion resistance

4.6.9 Thickness swelling

4.7 We record every inspection with the help of: quality inspection report, pictures and film

5. ASSESSING INSPECTION RESULTS

We accept or reject an order on the basis of Acceptance Quality Levels (AQL) 0.65, 1.0 and 2.5 for Class A, B and C defects.

AQL' s for Class A, B and C defects
Defect Specification AQL (m2)
0.65 1.0 2.5
20FCL 20FCL 20FCL
Class A abrasion resistance
1.5
Class B moisture content, straightness of right angles and parallel sides, width, joining of locking system, deformation    4.0
Class C length, thickness       5.5

According to the SSPNI:

For a 20' container with 3,000 m2 of laminate flooring, the sample size would be 80 m2. The container would be rejected if within the 80 m2 inspected there were more than 1.5 m2 of class A defects, more than 4.0 m2 of class B defects or more than 5.5 m2 of class C defects.

[1]For example, for a 20' container with 3,000 m2 of laminate flooring, the sample size would be 80 m2.
